Indian Immunologicals Limited (IIL) was established by the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) in 1982 under the “Operation Flood” programme. It is a leading biopharma company in India, manufacturing animal health vaccines, human health vaccines, nutraceuticals, and formulations. IIL is truly a “One Health Company” for its significant contribution in preventing diseases in animals, human beings and its environmental consciousness. IIL is the single largest contributor to vaccine security of the nation and is also responsible for significant savings to the exchequer. IIL also developed other vaccines such as 7-in-1 canine vaccines, Pentavalent vaccine for children, India’s first indigenously developed Hepatitis A vaccine, etc. which are well accepted in the Indian market.

As a part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), IIL has adopted several schools and provided infrastructure and nutritional supplements through NDDB’s NFN programme. IIL’s “Gou-Raksha” project serves as a boon to several destitute animals in various Goshalas and Pinjrapole societies. Another important initiative- “Go Green”, a biogas plant for conversion of dung into fertilizer is provided as an assistant to villages for self-sustenance (part of NDDB initiative).
